Our gyms are fully kitted out with the latest gym equipment and technology. With state-of-the-art Life Fitness machines featuring interactive screens, Concept 2 rowing machines, Wattbikes, Octane Elipticals, SkiErgs, Woodway Curve treadmills and plenty more – if you’re here for cardio training we’ve got you covered.

If you’re looking to build strength and muscle tone, you’ll love our range of free weights and weight resistance machines. You’ll find dumbbells, barbells, plates and kettlebells across a huge weight range to suit all abilities, complemented by industry leading racks, benches and lifting platforms. And if you’re new to strength training, our resistance machines are the ideal place to get started with less stress on the body.

Plus, you can really mix up your routine with our functional training areas. Boost your power by jumping onto a Plyobox, get your legs pumping on our weighted sled tracks or enjoy a full body workout on the Synrgy360 training frames, with an array of attachments to vary your training.

Included in your gym membership

At your local Harbour Club, your experience doesn’t end when you complete that final rep or get through those last few metres. Your gym membership also gives you access to our serene swim and spa facilities, so you can take time to recover in the soothing surrounds of the pool, the whirlpool or the sauna straight after a workout. There’s no need to worry about the kids either, with a creche service to keep them safely entertained while you take time for yourself. Afterwards, if it’s a space to refuel and get back to work that you need, our comfortable Clubrooms are the perfect place to enjoy a meal, catch up on your emails or to spend time with the family.


Gym Opening Times

Our gyms are open 7 days a week. As a member of Harbour Club, you have access to use your gym facilities as and when you please. That’s as many reps, sets, miles, minutes, spins and squats as you wish. Click here to find your local club and to view its opening hours. 
Travelling with work or away for the weekend? Depending on your membership package, you can access the nearest David Lloyd gym to wherever you may be, so if you’re keen to keep up with your fitness routine, you can do just that.

Family Gym

At Harbour Club, our family-friendly approach gives the perfect opportunity for families with children to spend time together whilst staying healthy and active.

Children aged 10+ can take part in our Gym Start Up programme, which provides a basic introduction to our gym equipment to ensure they’re comfortable in using the gym safely and in a way that suits their size and strength. Following the completion of this induction, children can use the gym when accompanied by a parent or guardian for a family gym session.

If your children are a little older, teenagers aged 15 and above can use the gym freely with no supervision. Our Fitness into Teens programme is designed to allow our members to progress towards the freedom of doing their own thing.

And if your children are very young, why not take advantage of our on-site creche service while you squeeze in a workout?

What to expect at the gym

If you’re new to the gym or you’re ready to return to a routine of more regular training, our friendly team are always on hand to give you the confidence to make positive strides in the gym.

When you become a member, you’ll receive a gym welcome pack which contains information about our gym facilities. You’ll also undergo a full gym induction which is designed to help you understand how to use each piece of equipment safely and effectively.

Wondering where to focus? As a member, you’ll have access to our Boditrax machines, which enable you to understand more about your body composition to help you target areas where you can improve your health, fitness and performance.

Whenever you come to the gym, remember to bring a water bottle, wear comfortable, lightweight clothing, and ensure you wear trainers that fit well and give you plenty of support.
