Our indoor Padel courts and expert coaching team make it easy to enjoy one of the most engaging racquet sports around. Whether you're completely new or developing your style, Chelsea is the perfect place to play.
Padel is a fast, responsive racquet sport played on smaller courts within glass walls, creating a dynamic mix of angles, teamwork and quick reactions. The bats are light, the rallies are longer and the play feels instinctive. Expect a blend of tennis familiarity and something entirely its own.
It’s easy to pick up and satisfying at every level. Take it gently or push the tempo; the game adapts as your confidence grows.
Padel naturally brings people together. With doubles play, friendly match sessions and regular opportunities to meet other players, it’s an easy, uplifting way to stay active and feel part of the rhythm of the Club.
Whether you’re brand new or looking to refine your game, our coaching sessions and social play groups offer a supportive place to learn. We organise sessions by experience level, so you can develop at a pace that feels right for you.
Padel draws on elements of both tennis and squash. The serve is underarm, the ball can rebound off the glass walls on your side, and once the point is in play the rallies tend to be longer and more strategic. Scoring follows the same system as tennis.
Padel racquets are solid and perforated rather than strung, and the balls are slightly adapted for the enclosed court. You can borrow racquets from us and purchase balls on site — ideal if you’re trying the sport for the first time.
We have three indoor Padel courts, available to book for singles or doubles via the Harbour Club app.
Padel is included with a full membership package, which gives you access to all racquet sports at the Club.
